(From Pray4SouthAsia.com) “Village X” is. in western India, and its people belong to a tribal community. Until six months ago, no one there knew the Lord. Alcohol addiction is a major problem and often causes untimely deaths. A few months ago, Kiran* and several local leaders begn walking through the village to pray. They did not know anyone there. During one of these walks, they met a man named Pradip*, who told them about his struggles. They prayed for him, and he invited them into his home. A weekly meeting soon began. People came to hear the Gospel and receive prayer. Today, 14 people have come to faith, and a strong fellowship has formed. The new believers pray twice a week and are reaching others. The work is also spreading to nearby villages.
- Praise God for saving Pradip and the others who have come to faith.
- Praise God for using him to open a door into a new area.
- Pray that these new believers will grow in faith and Christlikeness.
- Pray that the Lord will move powerfully and produce much more fruit throughout the area.
*Names changed.
