Nagaland: Unity, Witness, Peace, Transformation

(From Pray4SouthAsia.com). Nagaland is a small hill state in northeast India, bordering Myanmar. It recognizes 17 major Naga tribes. These, along with sub-tribes, form a diverse indigenous population with distinct languages, dress, and customs. Over 87-90% of the population is Christian! Churches actively send missionaries, especially to the Himalayan region and other parts of India and Asia. The Naga movement for self-determination began in 1947 and continues, though recent decades have seen relative peace. The City of Dimapur has immigrants from many parts of India, including a significant Muslim presence.

“That they may be one…so that the world may believe.” John 17:21
