Note: This prayer came to us from a frontline worker in South Sudan. There has been much violence in this nation, primarily between two rival groups: The Sudanese army and a paramilitary group known as the RSF, or Rapid Support Forces. Additionally, a large number of Christian refugees from the Republic of Sudan, which was north of South Sudan and is heavily Muslim fled to the south due to persecution. In 2011, the two countries separated, but the persecution “spilled over” into the south. People are starving in refugee camps and desperate to leave! Following is a prayer request from one worker:
“Hello, my dear friends across the world I request that you pray for my home country, South Sudan. As you step up to pray, don’t forget to mention the following, 1- Unity in the body of Christ 2- Salvation across different ethnicities 3- Restoration of all the systems ruined by the enemy in all 6 spheres of influence 4- The vulnerable community members, such as orphans, widows, and elders, etc. I am seeing a lot of need every day, and this burden is ever-increasing in me. I believe that once we join in synergy and focus on the solutions instead of the challenges, the results will be inevitable. For more details, kindly reach out!”
