Myanmar: A story of Media, House Movements and the Word of God

(This story was recently posted bye Create International) -Amid conflict and turmoil, a powerful movement of God is sweeping through Myanmar, reaching thousands with His love and hope. Despite the hardships of war, God’s Spirit is at work, and more people are turning to Christ than ever before in the history of this country.

A Fledgling Movement’s Vision for Media

Several years ago, a ministry in Myanmar with around 20,000-30,000 believers from Buddhist backgrounds reached out to us. Although they had a budding movement, they saw the potential to expand further and asked Create International to help them capture their story in media. They envisioned using this as a tool for discipleship and church planting, believing it would multiply their impact. We were honored to work with them, creating a docudrama that now features on their website, capturing the incredible ways God has moved and guided their work.

Since those early days, the ministry has grown exponentially. Today, they have 27,000 house churches and over 307,000 new believers from Buddhist and Muslim backgrounds. Even more astonishing is how the ministry has helped these believers hear the Bible in their own languages, thanks to mobile audio devices provided by Kulumi. These audio Bibles have been crucial since many in their communities can’t read or write, and hearing Scripture in their own language for the first time has brought the gospel to life.
