Gospel Seeds In Unexpected Places

From The Crescent Project Team, crescentproject.org, HOPE worth sharing!

Sometimes one small step of faithfulness can lead to gospel opportunities.

“When Mark led a Bridges Study at his Church, he wasn’t sure what to expect. Only seven people signed up, but as Mark later reflected, “It was small—but mighty! The Lord knew exactly who needed to be there. I just pushed play on the videos and watched Him do the rest.

“One of those attendees, Rachel, sent Mark this email a few days later:

“ ‘I was at the post office when I overheard a conversation about the meaning of nose rings for South Asian women. After the other customer left, I realized the postal worker was Muslim—and immediately thought of our Bridges discussions!

” ‘I told her I’d recently taken a class on understanding Muslims and was surprised by how much we share in common.

” ‘She said, ‘Yes, but the Bible has been changed.’ I remembered what we learned—that even the Qur’an tells Muslims to read the earlier books. So I just said, ‘I’m glad you can read it.’

” ‘I didn’t feel ready to say more yet, but next time I plan to bring her a copy of the Injeel. It’s a small step, but its a start.’

“Mark was thrilled that by simply hosting a Bridges Study, a gospel conversation was started and soon, a postal worker will have her first New Testament.

“Whether in a post office, classroom, or coffee shop, God is using Christians like Rachel to bring His hope to Muslims across the street and around the world.”
