(From Pray4SouthAsia, pray4southAsia.com) Sri Lanka’s economy is improving, but reports show that still over one third of Sri Lankans were in poverty or at risk in 2025. Many families face poverty, debt, food insecurity, unstable jobs, and the effects of recent floods and past crises. Churches are responding with food relief, counseling, children’s care, livelihood recovery, and reconciliation across ethnic and religious lines. This is a gospel opportunity to show hope generosity, justice, and Christ’s care for families who feel forgotten. Sri Lanka is predominantly Buddhist, but there are also many Muslims, Hindus, and Christians.
*Pray for struggling families to receive food, stable work, and freedom from crushing debt.
*Pray for churches to serve wisely with. relief, counseling, and long-term support.
*Pray that Christians would bring hope and reconciliation across divided communities.
