(From Crescent Project, crescentproject.org). This summer, one of Crescent Project’s Area Coordinators had the privilege of coaching a young woman named Sandy (not her real name) through the Crescent Project Internship Program. Each intern is asked to develop a Personal Ministry Plan, applying what they learn to real-life ministry among Muslims.
Sandy lives in a rural community and wasn’t sure how she could ever meet Muslims nearby. But as she prayed, God began to answer in surprising ways. A friend called and said, “I’ve been meeting some Muslim women, but I’m not sure what to say or how to start meaningful conversations. Can you help?”
Together they prayed and decided to host a simple tea gathering. Drawing from what she had learned through Crescent Project, Sandy helped her friend prepare—bringing along several types of tea, including some loose-leaf blends. To her surprise, the Muslim women all preferred the loose-leaf tea! As they shared stories about herbs, family, and everyday life, Sandy had the opportunity to tell her own story—how Jesus had transformed her life.
That simple tea opened a door to deep friendship and ongoing gospel conversations. Today, Sandy and her friend meet regularly with these women, sipping tea, laughing together, and sharing the hope of Christ. What began as one intern’s small step of obedience has now grown into a new Outreach Group that continues to meet in their community.
Stories like this are happening across the country because young adults are being trained, mentored, and mobilized through Crescent Project’s Internship Program.
If you know a college student or young adult who desires to grow in their faith and make an eternal impact among Muslims, invite them to apply for next summer’s internship. It’s a life-changing opportunity to be part of God’s global story.

- Pray that we have a great group of young adults sign up for our Internship Program for this spring. Pray that each of them would become a champion of Muslim ministry in their home town.
- Pray for our Embassy team as they work to mobilize more volunteers to serve with Embassy. There are hundreds of thousands of Muslims who speak English wanting to connect online. Pray for more Embassy volunteers.
- Pray for Muslims in your city. Pray that many would be connected with a follower of Christ and that many would come to faith.
