The Pashtuns of Pakistan

(From Pray4SouthAsia.com) With over 26 million in Pakistan, the Pashtuns are one of the largest unreached people groups in the world. Known for their deep-rooted tribal honor system (Pashtunwali), strong Islmic identity, and resistance to outside influence, they are considered a quitessential Frontier People Group. There are no known churches among them in Pakistan and only scattered believers. It’s important to know that Pakistan is ranked 5th in the world in terms of persecution against Christians.

  • Pray for the Lord to send, bold, loving workers to live among the Pashtuns.
  • Pray for Jesus to appear to seekers in dreams and visions.
  • Pray for protection and courage for any secret Pashtun believers.
  • Pray for a breakthrough that would lead to a Disciple-Making Movement across tribes.
