While the African nation of Ethiopia has welcomed Christianity since the 4th Century, there is still a strange mixture of Christianity, Islam, and Animism in this landlocked country on the Horn of Africa. There are some concerns among highlanders that fundamentalist Muslim movements in the region and in neighbouring countries may galvanize opinions for a greater role of Islam in Ethiopia.
There are a total of 129 people groups, 25% of which are unreached. Their population is now over 129,500,000. Please pray for this nation to remain peaceful, and that many Muslims come to Christ!
