(From Pray4SouthAsia.com) Unreached People Groups (UPGs) are large ethnolinguistic communities with few or no followers of Jesus, and no self-propagating Christian movement. Frontier People Groups (FPGs) are a subset of UPGs with virtually no Christian adherents (0.1% or fewer) and no known, sustained movements to Jesus. Essentially FPGs represent the most underserved and neglected populations populations within the broader category of UPGs. There is a huge need among FPGs for full-time cross-cultural pioneer workers.
Access to the gospel is very limited for FPGs. Globally, there are 291 FPGs with populations over 1 million. According to Pray4South Asia, in India alone there are 154 FPGs, 39 in Pakistan, and 10 in Bangladesh. Most are Muslim or Hindu, with a few Buddhist or tribal groups. Some smaller communities also qualify. These have no movement to Christ, are tight-knit in their religious identity, and are hard to reach.
-Pray for spiritual openness and hunger for truth among FPGs.
-Pray for local believers to boldly and wisely share the Good News among FPGs.
-Pray for Bible translations, media, and resources to reach every FPG in their languages.
-Ask God to send workers who will live among these groups with love and perseverance.
