According to Operation World (operationworld.org), one of the main prayer requests for this Buddhist monarchy, is true spiritual freedom. It is the government’s policies to keep Bhutan isolated, and the stronghold of Vajrayana Buddhism. Thus it is one of the world’s least evangelized nations. Bon (an indigenous religion) was replaced by Buddhism, but maintains a strong occultic/demonic influence. Pray for Jesus to reveal Himself to the king and the royal family, so that they might know His love and power.
There are 778,000 people in Bhutan with 52 people groups. At least 51 of those people groups are considered “unreached”.
