An Isolated People in Bhutan

(From Pray4SouthAsia.com) “Over 1,000 Gongduk people live in a few isolated villages of Mongar district in eastern Bhutan. Up until 1991, they were an unknown ethnic group. Their language, Gongduk, (or Gongdu) is said to be endangered. They practice a mix of Tibetan-Buddhism and animistic spirit worship. Better infrastructure has started to open up the community to the outside world. There are NO Christians among them!

*Pray for the Good News of Jesus to enter the Gongduk community.

*Pray for hearts of the Gongduk people to be open to the gospel.

*Pray for fruitful evangelism and disciple-making among this people.

*Pray for community transformation as the gospel spreads among them.

*Pray for more workers to be raised up to go to the Gongduk!”
