A Digital Lifeline of Hope For Afghan Women

(From Mission Network News) As Afghanistan worsens for women who are forced to stay in their homes, the digital church offers them hope!  Even though the United States has taken in many Afghan refugees after the fall of that nation to the Taliban, life for Afghan women still in that nation grows increasingly worse, dangerous, and depressing.  Depression and psychological problems are growing among the women, and even though the United Nations has condemned the Taliban’s treatment of women, their words are ignored.

The Taliban in Afghanistan started as a radical student group.  In fact, “Taliban” is Pashto for “student”. Many of the Taliban are radicalized Pashtun.  However, it’s important to note that not all Pashtun are in the Taliban.  Just like not all Palestinians are in Hamas.  In case you haven’t seen it, here is the prayer video for the Pushtun from The Waiting World:
