In the Book of Matthew, Chapter 13, Verse 3B, Jesus told a parable by beginning with the words, “A farmer went out to sow…” Revival must start somewhere, and one can reason that those who “sow the Word of God”, per this parable, are the FARMERS. After the seed is sown, young plants must be nurtured and fertilized. We “fertilize” revival with PRAYER, because revival must START with the Word of God in order for the MOVE of God to occur.
The Hebrides Revival, a significant Christian revival movement, took place in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland from 1949 to 1953. It was initiated by Peggy and Christine Smith, two sisters who prayed intensely for a revival, and later by the ministry of Duncan Campbell. The movement was characterized by widespread repentance, prayer, and church gatherings, and it was especially impactful on the Isle of Lewis.
PRAY:
*For hearts to be open to the Gospel of Christ in your own nation, and in every nation in the world…especially in the 10/40 Window where more than 3 billion people have yet to even hear the Name of Jesus
*Pray for revival both in your own nation, and in nations around the world.
