(From Pray4SouthAsia.com) In the last few decades, South Asia has seen some Discipleship Making Movements (DMMs). DMMs are a strategy that rapidly multiply churches and leaders. The great harvest among Bhojpuri peoples in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar states in India are an example. While Hinduism is their primary religion, and around 10 million Bhojpuri have been baptized in the last 30 years alone! Two DMMs among Muslims in east India indicate at least 25,000 – 30,000 have come to Christ in the last 20 years!
Many churches and mission organizations are now teaching Christians how to do DMMs in their own community and around the world. Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is one such organization that prepares students for global missions. Visit ywamfm.org .
