God Called Him Heavenward

Michael D. Klausmeier, 3/22/46 to 1/23/26, the creative mind and talent behind the unreached people group prayer series, The Waiting World, thewaitingworld.net, passed away peacefully in the early hours of January 23 surrounded by his family. He will be buried this weekend.

Mike started his career when he was still in his teens at a tv station in Indianapolis, IN, and literally learned everything from the “floor” (holding cue cards, setting lights, and throwing a pie in the face of the clown star of a locally produced “live” kids show) on up to directing live telecasts of the world famous Indianapolis 500 Mile Race. Mike was very bright, a hard worker, and a fast learner.

In 1998, God called Mike and his family into missions training in Kona, Hawaii when a ministry leader told him about a video prayer series on unreached people groups that he wanted to produce. He asked if Mike would be interested. The rest, as they say, is history. Mike and the family moved to Colorado to begin production. The past couple of years, Mike was teaching himself how to create AI videos, and he was good at what he did! Always learning, always try to improve his skill set, and he would have turned 80 years old on March 22nd.

Mike had a passion to see the lost souls of the 10/40 Window come to Christ, and he shot most of the videos you see himself, as he and his wife traveled to many nations. Mike and his personal supporters paid all of the expenses for the series. They prayed and God supplied all his needs for the series.

Mike had an amazing sense of humor even though in his last years he was dealing with some medical issues. He and his wife of 53 years have 3 adult children and one teenage grandson who loves video production … only God knows if Mike’s legacy will carry on in a new generation. Michael, we will always love you and will miss you. Lord willing, the website and this blog will carry on.

One of his latest projects was an AI video to help churches mobilize for missions. He always knew that if the audience could see the eyes of the lost, their hearts would be captured. Enjoy “The Eyes of the World” by clicking HERE.
